Progress
Two more panels and maybe some embroidery and I will be ready to start sewing the top together. I'm thinking of using stripes to go lengthwise inbetween the panels.

Crazy quilt beginnings
The two panels here took about 3 hours each to make. Wish me luck , cause I'm going for a queen size quilt with this one. This should keep me out of trouble for awhile. I'm using muslin panels to sew the silks and velvets and satins onto to give the quilt more strength. Two panels down and sixteen left to go. Now this is addictive.

Junk-tiqueing
Is it an art , sport or just another addiction? I blew glass in college and the piece on the right looks like a very skillfully made bit of Italian glassware to me. At least I apreciate how good the glass artist is/was who made it. And the budgies? A whole lot of work for just a dollar/ I feel like I'm on a grandma's projects rescue mission. The love that went into these simple things is so charming to me. And the practical side of being cheap is that you run into 10k gold crosses for $2 while junktiqueing....
