These small purses are made from a combination of upolstery samples with synthetic fibers as well as hemp, silk, cotton & linen. Hunting and gathering the materials is one of my favorite pastimes

Just like it said in my horoscope, this has been a year that required the patience and strength of the animal it was named after. In 2008 , we lost my mother to cancer and got married and bought a house and moved all before 1/1/09. We had stayed in our appartment after the movers had taken most of the furniture thinking that the large inflatable mattress that was still in it's package would be less expensive than a hotel for the night. Little did we realize that the pump to blow up the matress needed to be charged for...

old fashioned scrap quilt
I figure that about 80% of this quilt's fabric was rescued from the arts & crafts aisle at the recycling center. Washed and ironed and ready to go, alot of small scraps that lend themselves nicely to being cut into thin strips. This is the easiest kind of quilt for me to make. Very little is wasted.
